A survey which examined how quickly people walk in 32 cities around the globe.
The survey took place between 11:30 and 14:00 local time in all the cities on August 22, 2006 - secretly recording the time it took for 35 men and women to walk along 60 feet of pavement
Its startling overall discovery was that the pace of urban life is ten per cent quicker than it was ten years ago. Surprisingly, some of the world's biggest cities did not even make the top five.
